Champagne Cocktail From A Tea Pot
13th November 2018
Have You Ever Had Champagne and Gin Poured From a Teapot Before?
I wouldn’t be surprised if you haven’t, because I hadn’t before today.
Well, this G & Tea Cocktail Gift Set from Root7 is designed especially for that.
The set includes one Teapot, two teacups, filter & lid. “Perfect for mixing up and serving a cocktail in style” Quoted from their website.
The teapot is rainbow-tinted borosilicate glass with shining gold patters.
It’s hand wash only, size: 800ml 24.2 x 17 x 20
It may look pretty, but how well does it work, let’s test it out.
First, we’ll need a Champagne, today’s special is Champagne Faniel & Fils Agapane Brut.
Tasting Notes: “Honey, meaty, pastry and minerals on the nose. Lots of flavors to include citrus, minerals, dried ham, pasty, honey and more. I would put this Champagne in the Classic and Elegant category for the Glass of Bubbly Awards.”
Second, we’ll need some Gin, how about we give Caorunn Handcrafted Premium Scottish Gin a try.
It has a 41.80 % alcohol volume.
Tasting Notes: “Slightly spicy, citrus and floral on the nose, dry and crisp, with a long dry finish.”
Let’s get started by adding some red berries to add a fruity flavour and some brown sugar to give it a sweeter taste.
The filter works very well with not allowing the fruit though but you’ll have to slowly pour the Champagne in so it doesn’t overflow with fizz.
After you’ve poured in the Champagne and Gin you’re ready to start serving.
It works well and it’s a cool unique way to drink a cocktail, you might just want to top up your cup with some extra Champagne to give it some more fizz.
