Champagne Drappier Launch New Bottle Design
21st October 2016
In December 2016 a new bottle designed by Michel Drappier will be launched. Inspired by antique bottles, made of dark glass which filters the light, the slimmer neck reducing the risk of oxidisation, this bottle with its elegant curves is moulded in predominantly recycled glass. The new label, printed on chic matt paper, remains loyal to the mascot colour of our house, yellow and is similar to the texture and colour of quince, subtle fruity notes of which can be found in our Carte d’Or. A new gift box, plain and elegant, designed by Charline Drappier, houses the flagship cuvée of our family house and is sealed with a ribbon of guarantee, an allusion to those fancy boxes used for delicacies.
Made entirely with juices from the first pressing, with Pinot Noir contributing more than 75%, the Carte d’Or asserts its identity in this new bottle while remaining true to its values close to nature. Unfiltered and with a reduced dosage, this is a Champagne imbued with elegance and authenticity.
