Champagne Drappier: The Cuvées

Quattuor Cuvée
FORGOTTEN GRAPE VARIETIES, A UNIQUE BLANC DE BLANCS, INIMITABLE, UNFORGETTABLE

To the forgotten Champagne grape varieties: Arbane (25%), Petit Meslier (25%) and Blanc Vrai (25%), which express themselves in a tight sap, the classic Chardonnay brings its elegant and persistent note.

The cuvée displays aromas of very fresh grapes, citrus fruit, white flowers or honeyed apples. The Quattuor cuvée, from the number four in Latin, is a fine Champagne, mineral and chiselled.

Blanc de Blancs Signature
FLORAL ELEGANCE, A TOUCH OF BLANC VRAI FOR THE FRUIT. LOVELY BALANCE.

As its name indicates, this white Champagne is made exclusively from white grapes, in point of fact from Chardonnay. Nevertheless, an original feature of the Drappier House, a splash of Pinot Blanc, called “Blanc Vrai” in Champagne, is sometimes added to the cuvée in order to increase its complexity and roundness

Rosé
INTENSE BOUQUET, AROMAS OF RED FRUITS. THE EXPRESSION OF PINOT NOIR.

We are one of the rare Houses producing Rosé by the saignée method. Several days of maceration give this cuvée an intense colour marked by the Pinot Noir.
On the nose there are hints of red fruits and violet with a lightly spiced note. Receiving only a light dosage, on the palate it is remarkably expressive and extremely fresh, with a subtle trace of liquorice in the finish

Carte d’Or
THE VERY EXPRESSION OF THE DRAPPIER STYLE

The Drappier Carte d’Or expresses all the aromas of the noble grape variety Pinot Noir. This in fact constitutes at least 80% of the blend. A red grape producing white juice, it is sought after not only for its structure but also for its very characteristic fine notes of red fruits.

Grande Sendrée Cuvée
THE TERROIR, THE MILLÉSIME, A RARE CHAMPAGNE IN ITS LOVELIEST MANIFESTATION.

The Grande Sendrée Cuvée takes its name from a parcel of land covered by cinders after the fire which ravaged Urville in 1838. A spelling error having slipped through in a new version of the land register, it is with an “s” that this cuvée is designated today. A reproduction of an 18th century bottle found in the Urville cellars is used and the Grande Sendrée undergoes remuage entirely by hand. Since the 1999 vintage it is also available as a Magnum.
