Champagne La Villesenière
17th November 2015
Laurence and Cyrille Chevenotot-Michez at Champagne La Villesenière are delighted at the rush of superb reviews that their new range of Champagnes is receiving . It’s not often that a new entrant to the marketplace is so enthusiastically received and Laurence and Cyrille are hoping that these rave reviews will help them find importers.
“Of course we were delighted to get the first great review,” said Laurence, “but because we are a young company we thought it might just be a fluke, so it was amazing when we got more and more comments in the same vein.”
The range comprises 3 cuvées, all made in limited quantities from the 4 hectare estate in the hamlet of Villesaint in la Vallée de la Marne:
Les Cuteries, a single plot Blanc de Blancs from the village of Boursault. Extra Brut
Harmony a single cru Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Meunier blend also from Boursault
Rosé de Saignée a Pinot Noir (80%) Chardonnay (20%) blend
All 3 cuvées undergo first fermentation in small Argonne and Ardenne oak barrels and all 3 are attracting serious attention.
Champagne La Villesenière is available in the UK via Scala School of Wine.
In Denmark via Champagne Selskabet
