Chandon’s Sparkling Red is a unique seasonal cuvée crafted for wine lovers with a sense of discovery and adventure. A winery-exclusive, our Sparkling Red marries the grace and complexity of Pinot Noir with zesty flavors found in Zinfandel. Though they’re rare in the U.S., sparkling red wines have a long tradition in Australia, Germany and the Loire Valley of France.
Unlike other Chandon sparkling wines, the Sparkling Red starts with Pinot Noir and Zinfandel grapes.
Our Sparkling Red excites the palate with rich and concentrated flavors of plum, black cherry and sweet cranberry with hints of cocoa, Bergamot orange and spice. The skin contact during the wine-making also gives the wine a full body and pleasantly rounded tannins.
This opulent sparkling wine lends itself to richly flavoured foods. During the holidays it is exquisite with roast turkey and cranberry sauce or honey-glazed smoked ham. Year round it’s a natural fit for charcuterie, blue cheese with dried figs, and desserts like dark chocolate or boysenberry pie.
