Cyril was born in the village of Aÿ, located in the heart of the Champagne region and as a child, he spent most of his time in his family’s vineyard, amongst 3rd generation winegrowers. After studying both enology and business at the University of Reims he joined the family company to help his father in the cellars and took care of the export markets. He joined Veuve Clicquot in 2000 as winemaker, on the wine communications team.
Cécile Bonnefond, CEO of Champagne Charles Heidsieck commented. “After the tragic death of Thierry Roset in October 2014, we welcome Cyril as chef de caves. With his expertise and passion, Cyril will be committed to continue the exceptional work carried out by his predecessors.”
