Christmas Movie Inspired Cocktails – Merry Christmas Everyone

Merry Christmas Everybody
On the lead up to Christmas, I have been sharing some delicious Christmas Movie Inspired Cocktails with you, I’ve compiled them all together to create this 2020 Christmas Cocktails List for you to enjoy on Christmas Day.
Elf
Ingredients
- Simple Syrup
- Green Juice (apple, kiwi and mango)
- Sparkling Wine
- Lemon Skin
- Green sweet laces
How To Make
Use the first measurements for a smaller glass as I used in the pictures or the second for a normal sized glass.
- Pour in 10 – 20mls of Simple Syrup into your glass.
- Add in 30- 60mls Green Juice apple (kiwi and mango).
- Top up with Sparkling Wine
- Place lemon skin on top of the cocktail
- Then add in some green sweet laces
Tasting Notes
Aroma – “A Joyful green expression with kiwi organising the fun.”
Flavours – “A soft and pleasant green taste with flavours of kiwi, apples skins and mango.”
Die Hard
Ingredients
- Sparkling Wine

Whiskey
-
Lemon Juice
- Lemon Twist
How To Make

Pour in 20mls of Lemon Juice

40mls of Whiskey
-
Top up with Sparkling Wine
- Then place a Lemon Twist and Cinnamon Stick in the glass.
Tasting Notes
Aroma – “A lovely combination of zestiness and cinnamon.”
Flavours – “A strong and powerful zesty kick, not for the faint hearted, for the action hero who loves citrus and a little sweetness from the cinnamon soaked in.”
Home Alone
Ingredients
- Sparkling Wine
- Cranberry Juice
- Cranberries
- Sweets
- Manchester Drinks Co Watermelon Crush Liqueur
How To Make
- Pour in 120mls of Cranberry Juice.
- 15mls of Manchester Drinks Co Watermelon Crush Liqueur
- 200mls of Sparkling Wine
- Drop in around 7 Cranberries
- Then fill with sweets of your choice
Tasting Notes
Aroma – “Cherry Bakewell tart, cranberries and watermelon on the aroma.”
Flavours – “Sweeter style cocktail, with watermelon and pink floral flavours with a fizziness on the tongue.”
The Grinch
Ingredients
- Sparkling Wine
- Grenadine
- Apple, Kiwi & Mango Juice (or any other green looking juice)
- Lime Juice
How To Make
- Pour in 30mls of a green juice, mine tasted of Apple, Kiwi & Mango.
- Add in 5mls of Lime Juice.
- Top up with Sparkling Wine.
- Then drop in 10mls of Grenadine.
Tasting Notes
Aroma – “Bubbles popping up to your nose with kiwi, green apples and banana sweets on the aromas.”
Flavours – “Sharp green fruits with a lime zestiness which develops over time with a sweetness from the Grenadine. It’s like a bag full of candy sweets which you can pick any variation from.”
Santa Claus The Movie
Ingredients
- Rosé Sparkling Wine
- Strawberries
- Water
- Sugar
- Vodka
- Lemon Juice
How To Make
These measurements are for a big glass, for a normal sized glass I would half the Vodka and Lemon Juice.
- Take a handful of strawberries and place them in a blender, pour in 50mls of water and half a tablespoon of sugar.
- Blend them together for a few seconds and then pour into your glass.
- Add in 80mls of Vodka.
- 1 tablespoon of Lemon Juice.
- Top up with Rosé Sparkling Wine.
- And add on a Candy cane.
Tasting Notes
Aroma – “Creamy strawberries.”
Flavours – “Smoothly like texture, an elegant fizz with a little nudge from the Vodka, strawberry flavours take the reins with a little zestiness from the lemon juice.”
Gremlins
Ingredients
- Sparkling Wine
- Chocolate
- Gin
- Lime Juice
- Lime zest
How To Make
- Take a couple of peices of Chocolate and melt it in the microwave for 1-2 minutes.
- Wait a couple of minutes for the Chocolate to cool down slightly, then dip the rim of your glass into the chocolate and let it set.
- Pour in 30mls of Gin.
- 10-15mls of Lime Juice.
- Top up with Sparkling Wine.
- Place a Lime Zest on the rim of the glass to finish.
Tasting Notes
Aroma – “Chocolate and lime aroma.”
Flavours – “An initial calming experience in the mouth, a delicate touch from the chocolate rim, a elegant fizzy touch from the sparkling wine, the gin then serves to deliver the kick with the lime juice for a zesty finish.”
The Nightmare Before Christmas
Ingredients
- Sparkling Wine
- Dark Rum
- Blueberry Juice
- Liquorice
- White marshmallows
How To Make
- Pour in 15mls of Dark Rum
- 50mls of Blueberry Juice
- Top up with Sparkling Wine
- Place in 2x Liquorice
- Then add 7x White marshmallows
Tasting Notes
Aroma – “A candy liquorice berry aroma.”
Flavours – “Smooth fizz and sweetness on the palate with a creaminess forming near the end, liquorice and blueberry flavours.”
A Christmas Carol
Ingredients
- Sparkling Wine
- Draught Stout Guinness
- Dark Rum
- Lime Juice
How To Make
- Pour in 20mls of Dark Rum
- 10mls of Lime Juice
- Then 80mls of Draught Stout Guinness.
- To finish, top up with Sparkling Wine
Tasting Notes
Aroma – “Stout and lime aromas.”
Flavours – “An initially dry taste that then fades into a sweetness from the stout with a little zestiness from the lime juice, you get subtle dark Rum notes and the sparkling wine blends into the mix perfectly complementing the Cocktail.”
The Snowman
Ingredients
- Sparkling Wine
- Vanilla Ice Cream
- Eggnog
How To Make The Cocktail
- Place 4 scoops of Vanilla Ice Cream into your glass.
- Pour in 100mls of your delicious eggnog.
- Then top with some Prosecco or other Sparkling Wine.
How To Make The Eggnog
Ingredients
- 2 egg yolks
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 cup milk
- 1 whole clove
- Pinch of cinnamon
- 1/2 cup cream
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon of rum
Method
- In a bowl beat egg yolks until they become somewhat lighter in colour. Slowly add the sugar. Whisk until fluffy.
- Pour the milk into a saucepan and add the clove and cinnamon. Slowly heat on medium heat until the milk mixture is steamy hot, but not boiling.
- Slowly add half of the hot milk mixture into the eggs, whisking constantly then pour the mixture back into the saucepan.
- Heat the mixture on medium heat, stirring constantly with a wooden spoon until it begins to thicken slightly. Do not allow the mixture to boil, or it will curdle.
- Remove from heat and stir in the cream.
- Leave to cool for one hour.
- Stir in vanilla extract, nutmeg and rum and chill for 1 hour.

Aroma – “Vanilla ice cream and Eggnog aromas. “
Flavours – “An explosion of vanilla and Eggnog with green and yellow fruit flavours coming form the Prosecco, it’s a Christmas sparkling milkshake.”
It’s a Wonderful Life
Ingredients
- Sparkling Wine
- Eggnog
How To Make The Cocktail
- Pour in 150mls of Eggnog.
- Then add in 200mls of Sparkling Wine.
How To Make The Eggnog
Ingredients
