Hambledon Classic Cuvee

Hambledon Vineyard in Hampshire is recognised as the oldest commercial vineyard in England, established in 1952 by Major-General Sir Guy Salisbury-Jones. Situated in the beautiful South Downs National Park, Hambledon Vineyard boasts a distinguished legacy of pioneering English winemaking.

Enjoy a guided tour of their historic vineyards, visit their state-of-the-art winery, and explore Hambledon’s underground cellars cut directly into perfect white chalk. Enjoy the finest cuisine in their Restaurant or casual al fresco dining in The Courtyard during the summer months.

Situated with stunning views of our historic chalk vineyards, flooded with natural light, the venue promises an experience like no other.

Relax with a glass of their sparkling wines on their viewing balcony, or take a seat at their bar with views overlooking the vineyard and rolling South Downs National Park. All Hambledon wines are available by the glass or as a Tasting Flight.

Hambledon Classic Cuvée

Hambledon’s Classic Cuvée is their signature and best-selling traditional method sparkling wine, made from a blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier and aged for 35 months.

It offers fine mousse, vibrant acidity and a layered profile of citrus, orchard fruit and white flowers with a creamy character, notes of ripe apricot and crisp pear, complemented by gentle soft red fruit notes, nuts and brioche notes with a patisserie-rich finish.

An ideal food pairing is with Citrus Cured Chalk Stream Trout, as served by The Restaurant at Hambledon Wine Estate.
