12:30 – 13:15: Masterclass with Villa Sandi

Presented by Flavio Geretto – Export Area Manager Americas, UK and Asia Pacific and Shane Holland – Chairman of The Slow Food UK

13:30 – 14:15:  Introducing Vernaccia Nera DOCG. Serrapetrona, Le Marche Italy.

Discover the wines of the smallest DOCG zone in Italy.
Sparkling red wines made entirely from the indigenous grape known as Vernaccia Nera.
The only Italian sparkling wine to be fermented 3 times, using a technique similar to the Governo Method, an ancient system of fermentation dating back to the 14th century. No other denomination can boast such uniqueness and diversity in their wines.

14:30 – 15:15: Neil Phillips – Unlocking the potential of Prosecco

Learn about the history, the regions of Veneto and Friuli-Venezia Giulia, and the terroir and winemaking techniques. Taste and discover the wines of the Prosecco DOC producers, whilst learning why Prosecco pairs so well with a range of flavours and dishes.

15:30 – 16:15: Masterclass with Giusti Prosecco

Comparing Prosecco DOC and Asolo Prosecco Superiore DOCG – the so-called “Secret Prosecco” – to taste and understand the fundamental role that soil composition and vineyard management play in determining acidity, flavours, complexity and overall elegance of Giusti sparkling wines.

16:30 – 17:15: Michael Edwards – Q & A Session

A unique opportunity to ask questions with Michael Edwards, a highly respected wine author with a focus on Champagne and sparkling wines and Confrère of St Vincent de Vertus.
