First Sparkling Wine from Catalonia for Torres Family

The Torres family is introducing its first sparkling wine produced in Catalonia using the traditional method.
Cuvée Esplendor Vardon Kennett 2013 is produced at the Torres vineyards in the Penedès.
The blend comprises Pinot Noir and Chardonnay as well as a small amount of Xarel-lo, which are all carefully selected and hand-picked. The sparkling wine has been aged for 30 months in the bottle. It is described as being fresh and lively.
Vardon Kennett, from Britain lived at the property during the early 19th century. He loved the Penedès and was captivated by its wines and culture. He changed career and began selling and exporting local wines to England.
Vardon Kennett Esplendor will be available in the UK early in 2017.
