This week sees the harvest in full swing at Furleigh Estate in Dorset with the grape pickers picking in pink to support Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Furleigh Estate is raising money for Dorset charity Weldmar Hospicecare Trust throughout Breast Cancer Awareness Month (1st – 30th October). Breast Cancer Awareness Month is a worldwide annual campaign involving thousands of organisations to highlight the importance of breast awareness and to raise funds. For every bottle of Furleigh Sparkling Rose sold from the cellar door, Furleigh Estate will donate £1 from the sale to Weldmar.

“Cancer is a disease that affects so many families; sadly most of us know someone who has suffered from it. It’s important to let others know that you understand what they’re going through, and to raise funds to enable continued support and care for those living with a cancer diagnosis and their families – Breast Cancer Awareness Month is a good opportunity to do this. We feel that it’s important to support a local charity close to home- Weldmar provides vital care to both patients and their families through an incredibly difficult and painful time,” says owner, Rebecca Hansford.
