Glass of Bubbly tent, Nyetimber and The Vine
23rd August 2015
Who could have predicted before 2003 that an English vineyard a mere five years old was about to beat the French at their own game? But that’s what happened when the sparkling wine from Nyetimber, on the South Downs, beat many Champagne labels in a famous international competition.
Since then, owner Eric Heerema and Canadian winemaker Cherie Spriggs have developed their vineyard and wines to take their place among Europe’s best respected.
Now you have an opportunity to enjoy Nyetimber’s finest products at The Vine public inn in Great Bardfield, Essex… by the glass or by the bottle!
Wine expert Tanya Mann has selected some of the vineyard’s finest products for you to try, including sensational vintage bottles that can be enjoyed by the glass, an educational experience for bubbly lovers exclusively to those visiting our first Glass of Bubbly tent over the bank holiday weekend of 28th – 31st of August. How about this for a selection of enjoyable English bubbly!
2010 Classic Cuvee by the glass, with its great complexity and rounded mouthfeel that experts say is similar to a great Champagne.

There will also be a selfie competition over the event at the Glass of Bubbly tent. The best selfie photo will win a Magnum of Nyetimber bubbly! You will also be able to pick up free copies of the Glass of Bubbly magazine!
Visit the Glass of Bubbly tent for this unique experience at the Great Bardfield Festival, starting 19 pm August 28th and than from 12 noon from 29th to 31st August.
