GŎNG bar at The Shard

This Asian inspired Champagne Bar is located on Level 52, Shangri-La Hotel at the Shard in London.

It’s name, GŎNG, derives its name from ‘dougong’ – a unique structural element of interlocking wooden brackets, used in traditional Chinese architecture and also featured in the bar.
The modern Asian design inside the bar was inspired by the mythical aspect of cinnabar – a mineral that has been used historically to create the ‘dragon red’ found in the walls of Chinese Imperial Palaces.

With dramatic 360-degree views of London’s skyline, this bar is a fantastic place to escape the city bustle, go for evening drinks and watch the sun set over the city.

The bar offers three lofted areas; a cocktail bar, Champagne bar and an infinity pool, for guests to relax and soak in the stunning cityscape.

A selection of different styles of Champagne and Sparkling wine are available. Champagnes include Deutz, Louis-Roederer, Jacques Lassaigne and Bollinger.

Sparkling wines, available by the glass, are from all over the world. With sparkling wines from various regions in France, Italy, Australia, Spain, New Zealand, USA, South Africa and Argentina there is plenty new bubbly to discover.
