Halloween Cocktails Ghost Ship

Epps: Have you told anyone else about this?
Ferriman: Not a living soul.

We’re back from the dead, crafting a whole new exciting range of Halloween Cocktails, where we choose a Halloween film or video game and create a perfect Cocktail to accompany it, working alongside different wineries and distilleries, I’ll give you a little history into each film and the know-how to create a delicious themed Cocktail.

13 Frightful Nights – Night 8 – Ghost Ship

Ghost Ship

Imagine you’re out at sea, and upon the horizon, a lost ship beckons you forward, a ghost ship, completely unmanned, abandoned by human life, only the spirits from the beyond remain.

Released on the 25th of October 2002, Ghost Ship was directed by Steve Beck and starred the likes of Emily Browning and Karl Urban.

Ferriman: Last month I was out in the middle of the Strait when I came across this.
Epps: Congratulations. You found a boat. In the middle of the ocean, of all places.

Although few may remember the 1952 film by the same name, it is completely unrelated to the version you’re discussing today.

Epps: After you.
Murphy: No, after you.
Munder: No, no, no, no, no. After me.

According to critics, the film isn’t brilliant, receiving below-average ratings, but fans didn’t mind spending money to go and watch the film, with a budget of $20 million, it grossed $68.3 million worldwide.

Epps: Wanna hear something funnier? We just found a bunch of dead guys floating in the laundry room.

The Semi-Sparkling Wine – When In Rome

Produced in the prolific wine region of Veneto from the Glera grape, by When In Rome, you can discover this little 200ml can of Sekko in some major supermarkets around the UK, including Sainsbury’s and Waitrose.

When In Rome’s mission is to help the rest of the world enjoy wine like the Italians do – in a more sociable, healthy, and environmentally sustainable format, they are the leading alt-format wine producer, founded in 2015 by three friends on a journey to reduce the wine industry’s carbon footprint.

In September 2021, When In Rome became the first wine brand in the UK to go public with its climate footprint, working with CarbonCloud to calculate the climate footprint of each of its wines. In October 2023 it also achieved B Corp certification.
