Herbal Gardens Sparkling Wine
15th June 2022
Welcome to the new Glass of Bubbly Category of Herbal Gardens.
This new category was introduced to highlight the fantastic Sparkling Wines that display a Herbal/Naturous Character, it was added to our collection of Categories in 2021 with Weingut Steininger’s Sauvignon Blanc Reserve Sekt 2017 from Austria taking home the first Herbal Gardens Trophy.
We can’t wait to see what the 2022 Glass of Bubbly Awards showcases in the Herbal Gardens Category, but before we get there, I thought you should take a look at a selection of Herbal Garden Sparkling Wines, I’ve picked three from the country of Slovenia, all taking home a Silver medal in the Herbal Gardens Category.

We have our own herb plot at the end of our garden, growing fresh mint, rosemary and thyme, and sometimes when enjoying a glass of Sparkling Wine, it will display the exact same aromas and flavours of the real thing.
