Hoffmann & Rathbone’s 2011 Rosé Réserve

Anyone who knows Hoffman & Rathbone will know that our releases are eagerly anticipated. Passion for the process is everything, attention to detail is our trademark, and we just won’t rush a good thing.

Following the huge success of our inaugural first release (the 2010 trilogy of Rosé Réserve, Classic Cuvée and Blanc de Blancs), comes the limited-edition release of our 2011 Rosé Réserve. Aged 29 months on the lees and an extra six months bottle aged after disgorging, it’s been a true labour of love, dedication and patience.

The wine is perfectly balanced romance of dominant Pinot Noir and complementary barrel-fermented Chardonnay. As always, the highest quality of grape is assured by rigorous selection from our Sussex Vineyards, hand picking and gentle craft, following traditional methods.

Salmon pink in colour, with a soft, fine-pearled mousse and persistent effervescence, notes of strawberry, red fruits, peach, nectarine and a floral touch of rose petals delight the palate. With lovely aroma persistence and a bright, lemony finish, this is a lively wine with fruity focus and balanced acidity.

Each bottle of our Rosé Réserve comes in an exquisitely screen-printed bottle and is hand packed on allocation, making it the perfect Valentine’s Day tribute.

Also available since Christmas is the Blanc de Blancs 2010 – 100% Chardonnay – aged 42 month on the lees.

Hoffman & Rathbone is a business born of love and inspired by a passion for producing only exceptional sparkling wines. We hope that each bottle will inspire in you a little of that romance.
