Llopart Nèctar Terrenal renews its image
1st March 2022
Llopart Nèctar Terrenal renews its image by emphasizing the iconic image of the wine angel, by the painter Ginés Liébana. The artist granted the Llopart family with one of his well-known paintings, a family with whom he has always maintained a close relationship and the work ended up becoming the label for this sparkling wine. In this painting, Liébana, known as the painter of angels, shows an angel holding a glass of wine in one hand and a bunch of grapes in the other, “as if he wanted to send us this divine nectar to Earth”, the winery commented.
Nèctar Terrenal is a semi-sweet sparkling wine. Its coupage combines two monovarietal wines from Xarel·lo and Parellada grapes, the result of the organic and respectful viticulture with which the winery grows its mountain vineyards in one of the highest areas of the Penedès. Nèctar Terrenal incorporates a partly barrel-aged topping-up liqueur that gives it a nice sweet touch and the delicate aromas and taste that characterize it.
Nèctar Terrenal is the perfect ally for sweet dishes and bold food pairings. It revives the ancient formula that combines absolute freshness and fruity sweetness. We are honoring and reintroducing the famous sparkling dessert wine. For classic complementary pairings, yes, but also for daring, contrast pairings Llopart presents Néctar Terrenal as the perfect ally for sweet dishes and they emphasize that it harmoniously accompanies desserts, balancing the sweetness of it; but at the same time, this unique wine invites you to experiment with daring and contrasting pairings, such as with foie gras or blue cheese. With this special sparkling wine, Llopart wants to dignify the mythical dessert wine with bubbles, in a combination that balances absolute freshness and a sweet touch.
Ginés Liébana, in addition to being the author of the painting that illustrates Nèctar Terrenal, also
created the piece “Vine 125”, a tribute lithograph commemorating the 125th anniversary of
Llopart that accompanied the 2006 vintage of Llopart Ex·Vite.
