12th June 2018
A recent research carried out by Conzorzio Tutela Prosecco DOC has revealed, that contrary to belief, it is men that are purchasing more Prosecco over women which many we are sure will find very surprising!
Amongst the 8 million consumers of prosecco in the UK, 56% of all prosecco purchasers at retail are men. “Women are known to be the larger buyers of wine in the UK, as many include wine within the weekly grocery shop, but our research shows that men are the primary food and drink buyers in households, they show a greater propensity to choose Prosecco” says Stefano Zanette President of the Consorzio.
Further results of the current UK-focussed research also reveals:
Consumers of Prosecco have an average annual salary of £45k
52% of the buyers live in the South of England
41% of buyers have degrees
56% of consumer buyers are male and 44% female.
81% live with their partner or their children
