Mumm celebrates 10th edition of Route du Rhum-Destination Guadeloupe

Maison MUMM is proud to celebrate the 10th edition of the Route du Rhum-Destination Guadeloupe, the transatlantic single-handed yacht race that takes places every 4 years in November, as they continue to honour victory and the best in human achievements.

Supporting some of the most prestigious sailing races in the world since 1977, MUMM has been the exclusive Champagne of The Route du Rhum-Destination Guadeloupe since 2006, sharing and celebrating the legendary first moment that a sailor’s passion and commitment is rewarded through victory.

The impressive yacht race began in 1978 and runs between Saint Malo and Pointe-à-Pitre Guadeloupe calling on the world’s most skilled sailors to demonstrate their ability and hunger to succeed. This November marks the 10th edition of the race and MUMM will celebrate alongside all eight of its previous sailing winners*, honouring the moment this year’s winner arrives victorious at the finish line.

Phillippe Guettat, Chairman and CEO of MUMM Champagne, commented: “As an icon of victory since its creation in 1827, we believe that the 10th edition of the Route du Rhum-Destination Guadeloupe is a truly momentous occasion. This year’s winner will be honoured alongside previous winners of the race and will revel in the iconic champagne spray moment, as his or her passionate pursuit of victory, is rewarded.”
