Netherlands Wine

As far back as 968 BC, viniculture was mentioned in what is now within the borders of the Netherlands, in the city of Maastricht. Its modern Wine production took off during the 1970s.

Over 180 commercial vineyards are in operation in the Netherlands. Focused in the two main regions of Gelderland and Limburg, with some vineyards located in North Brabant, North-Holland, Zeeland, Vijlen, and North Drenthe
