New Sparkling Wine Glasses Designed by Sarah Chadwick
30th May 2016
Sarah Chadwick is the artist behind a new range of glassware inspired by her surroundings and imagination.
Manufactured by a pottery in Stoke-on-Trent, where there are ten different processes all by hand which the glasses go through before completion including the silk screen printing for a greater quality finish.
Chadwick says “I have approached the glassware designs no different to an artist’s canvas; in particular using the measure of the alcohol as the lake, river or sea level.”
“I believe the Champagne/Prosecco glasses have great appeal; the woman diving into the bubbles is something that appeals to me, as I would imagine many other like-minded individuals! I have also just returned from an incredible 3 week trek to Everest Base Camp in Nepal and came back with inspiration for my next glass.”
As well as being an artist, she is qualified architect and interior designer.
She also recently completed a commission for TV personality Rosemary Shrager. I produced a very large painting for Rosemary’s cookery school and a series of screen prints for her patisserie in Royal Tunbridge Wells.
