Oscar J Malek joins Hotel du Vin

Oscar J Malek is excited to be joining the boutique hotel Hotel Du Vin in Birmingham from the Chewton Glen Hotel in Hampshire this month.
Oscar said, “After much deliberation I am pleased to announce that I shall be returning to my home city of Birmingham to take on the role of Head Sommelier at Hotel du Vin, previously held by renowned Sommelier Francois Bourde who has recently taken up residence at The Pig in the New Forest. I am very excited by the prospect of taking on a new and exciting wine list and hope to create a world-renowned wine offering in the heart of the Midlands!”
On Friday the 6th March the hotel will host a ‘Black Tie’ Laurent Perrier Dinner priced at £110.
General Manager Tony Elvin says, “Laurent Perrier’s fantastic range of fine Champagnes lends itself to our four course dinner experience as we marry the diverse flavours of LP Brut, Ultra Brut, Rose, Grande Siècle and Demi Sec to some tantalising Hotel du Vin creations from Head Chef Gregory Pryce and his team. John Cleary of Laurent Perrier will host the evening talking us through the history of Laurent Perrier and their amazing Champagnes.”
