‘Pere Ventura Gran Vintage Paraje Calificado Can Bas is a Cava that tells of the place it comes from, a small area of vineyards qualified after their special soil conditions and a microclimate that sets them apart from the rest of the vines grown around them. GRAN VINTAGE represents the Paraje Can Bas: the identity of this cava comes from its origin, the series of variables (climate, geology, soil and biome) that determine the expression of the grapes… As its name suggests, ‘Gran Vintage’ is a vintage Cava representing the lifecycle of the vines in one particular year. He is a distinguished businessman in the wine sector and a good example of a self-made man. He is married and has four children. He comes from a family closely linked to the wine trade and has dedicated his whole life to creating his own companies and to acquiring and adding value to his vineyard estates.

Today, he is the owner of different wineries and vineyard estates in four Designations of Origin (Wine Appellations), all located in Catalonia, in north-eastern Spain.
