Nestled in the heart of the West Sussex countryside, close to the picturesque market town of Petworth, Roebuck Estates was founded by two friends who shared a passion for great wine and had a clear vision: to craft exceptional vintage sparkling wines every single year that could be enjoyed all over the world.

The inspiration for their name comes from the wild deer often seen roaming in their beautiful surroundings.

They have enormous respect for their land and, like the roe deer itself, they aim to leave the lightest footprint on our wonderful environment.

Their six parcels of land span the beautiful counties of West & East Sussex and Kent, and are known for their rich, fertile soils and exceptional quality fruit. At their estates, they grow the classic trio of Champagne grape varieties – Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier. Each vineyard has been planted with carefully selected varieties and clones best suited to that land.

Their Rare Expressions range is a special collection of limited-edition vintage sparkling wines that showcase the finest expression of a particular place, grape variety or moment in time.

Rare Expressions No.96 won a Gold Medal in the Classic & Elegant category at the Glass of Bubbly Awards 2024.

This is a wine of remarkable maturity and depth, showcasing the grace that comes from extended ageing. With eight years on lees, it unveils luxurious notes of baked orchard fruits, toasted nuts, and honey, layered with biscuity richness and citrus peel. Complex, elegant, and deeply expressive, this cuvée is a true celebration of time.

Every bottle is individually numbered and presented with our signature roe deer on a unique and intricate label design, reflecting the beauty and rarity of what lies within.

Tasting notes: Deep gold in colour. Toasty nose with brioche and pastry notes. Delicious on the palate with layers of almonds, nuts, marzipan and praline. Also pineapple, golden fruit, pears and quince.
