Searcys to host the 2024 London Champagne & Sparkling Wine Awards

We are pleased to announce that the Glass of Bubbly Champagne & Sparkling Wine Awards 2024 judging and awards dinner will be hosted by Searcys – Part of London’s hospitality scene for over 175 years, Searcys is an award-winning restaurateur and events caterer in residence at unique and historical venues across the UK.

The world famous St Pancras location will be the stage for both judging (September 11th & 12th) along with a magnificent awards evening dinner with live announcements of the 21 trophy winners.

 

Located within the iconic St Pancras International Station, St Pancras by Searcys is home to the longest Champagne bar in Europe and the Brasserie serving its popular à la carte menu created by the head chef. The iconic place in London to enjoy a glass of Champagne and fine gastronomy delights.

The Glass of Bubbly Awards are now in their eighth year having crowned some of the most magnificent sparkling wines with the title of the World’s Finest including Champagne Deutz with their Blanc de Blancs Vintage 2010, Ferrari Trento Giulio Ferrari 2005 and English Sparkling Wine Fox & Fox (Paxton & Whitfield) Mosaic blend 2015. Alongside the Carynx Trophy for the World’s Finest, a further 18 trophies are to be won within categories all designed to be easily understood by consumers with names such as ‘Oaky & Toasty’, ‘Zesty & Zingy’ and ‘Light & Fruity’.

Sustainability is a key programme of action with Searcys and this aligns perfectly with the Glass of Bubbly Awards which has its very own Sustainability Trophy supported by Slow Food UK. With a strict criteria to adhere to, wineries are invited to enter to win this trophy and support their application with a programme of sustainable wine production practises, Previous winners of the Sustainability Trophy include Villa Sandi (Italy), Bolney Wine Estate (England) and Graham Beck (South Africa).
