Selection of Champagne Jacquinot et Fils
6th April 2014
Champagne Jacquinot & Fils craft excellent Champagne from their select 42 acre domaine.
Our non-Vintage wines remain in the cellar for a minimum of 24 months, our Vintage Rosé Symphonie 4 years, our Vintage White Symphonie 10 years and our special bottle Harmonie 14 years.
Private Cuvée
This Cuvee is the signature wine of Champagne Jacquinot
It is a blend of 70% Chardonnay and 30 % Pinot Noir.
To continue the Jacquinot style, we add 20 to 30 % of reserve wines.
The hue is golden and the tiny bubbles form a persistent and delicate mousse. The Chardonnay and Pinot Noir in this vintage are expressed in a fresh and fruity bouquet. Its roundness and freshness are perfectly balanced making way for a long and acidulous finish.
Symphonie
Pierre Jacquinot was a keen violinist and his passion is reflected in the names of the vintages. The musical motif has been part of the logo of our brand since 1953.
Selection and compartmental wine making enable us to make wines from the oldest vines. It is kept in our cellars for many years to be tasted at full maturity.
This Symphony of 60% Chardonnay and 40% Pinot Noir presents a golden yellow hue. The trains of fine bubbles form a delicate mousse. The nose is built on flavours of candied fruits, vanilla and toast. This richness is confirmed in mouth with a long and woody finish.
Symphonie Rosé
This blended Rosé is only produced during exceptional vintage years.
The grapes have the same origin as those of the Vintage Symphony and some of the Pinot Noir is vinified in Red Burgundian maceration to obtain a fruity and soft wine after a few months in oak.
The Symphony Rosé is raspberry in appearance with hints of salmon pink and has a lively effervescence. Its bouquet is very delicate with notes of morello cherry and raspberry. Its liveliness and its length are very pleasant.
Harmonie
This Vintage, created in 1976 by Pierre Jacquinot, is the quintessence of our wines.
Produced only in exceptional vintages, this harmony of 80% Chardonnay and 20% Pinot Noir.
It remains in our cellars at 12 °C at 19 metres in chalk for many years, this extreme ageing does not diminish the cordon of fine bubbles.
After its delicate opening it develops subtle tertiary flavours of honey, brioche, mint and vanilla. The balanced and open palate reveals nuances of wood and wax.
