Small Champagne Producer is named the World’s Best Bubbly!

A small grower Champagne label, Champagne Roger Brun, producing just 50,000 bottles per year has won the title of The World’s Finest Glass of Bubbly for 2019 at an awards ceremony in Westminster. A tiny producer compared in the world of Champagne compared to the annual production from the bigger houses with Moet & Chandon said to be making 30 million bottles each year and with Veuve Clicquot at 19 million bottles!
During an awards ceremony at the Marriott County Hall Hotel in Westminster a host of top Champagne and sparkling wine owners along with a sprinkling of celebrities and PR/press enjoyed a magnificent sparkling wine reception and dinner and with the racing industry’s ‘Tipster‘ Neil Phillips as MC a total of 19 trophies were handed out. From Japan to Argentina, fabulous sparkling wines were awarded golden goblets by Eve Walkey, editorial director of the Glass of Bubbly awards, in front of winery representatives that had made their way to London from as far as Australia with famous sparkling wine names including Ferrari Trento, Villa Sandi and Champagne FrereJean Freres in the audience.
Attendees included TV reporters from Slovenia featuring the awards on their news channel and even the delightful Vicki Michelle from the ‘Allo ‘Allo! series attended to explore the fizz on show “Lovely evening with lovely people @GlassOfBubbly Awards. Great finding out about fabulous fizz from all over the world!”
The evening involved over 100 bottles of fine Champagne and sparkling wines being tasted and plenty of sparkle around as the world came together to unite thanks to bubbles!
