Sparkling Wine Games To Play At Home
6th July 2022
Let’s have some fun, not that popping open a bottle of Bubbly isn’t fun, but let’s have some more fun.
Sparkling Wine isn’t the sort of drink you associate with drinking games, normally is gin or vodka for example, but I’ve compiled a good list of games you and your friends or family can play, let’s get into it.
Freestyle Fizz Cocktails
This will require you to either be in a kitchen or at a set up with multiple ingredients for you to use, you could all individually create a Cocktail and score it out of ten to see who develops the best flavour combination or go head to head with each other and let the tasters decide which edges it for the best Fizz Cocktail.
What You’ll Need To Play
●Friends or Family
●Sparkling Wine
●Glasses

Taste The Country / Region / Grape
This game will require one host and at least two contestants, the host will pick out as many bottles of Sparkling Wine that they want and without showing the other players, they will pour each player a glass and ask them to guess from which country/region/grape this Sparkling Wine originates from.
Tasting a Champagne or Prosecco, even a Cava might be a little easy for an avid wine taster, but throw in an English or a Slovenian Sparkling Wine, and then they might get thrown off their game.
Depending on the tasting level of your players, you could go deeper into what region the wine came from or what grapes were used in the production.

Pop The Bottle (dangerous)
This game can easily be played before any of the others, head into your garden and prepare to fire, remove the foil and cage and see who’s cork is ready to fly the furthest, make sure you avoid pointing the cork at any person, glass windows or anything you don’t want to be broken, as people have died from flying corks.
Depending on your accuracy, you could try setting up some targets to try and hit, of course being extremely careful and you should wait till after the live cork firing has been done before enjoying the bubbly inside.
