Supermarket Fizz: Part 5 Cava ‘Irresistible’
3rd January 2020
“Co-op Group is the UK’s largest mutual business, owned by millions of UK consumers.”
When it comes to finding some decent wine within UK supermarkets there is plenty of choice to indulge in. Many supermarkets that are household names now stock quite in-depth wine lists and especially visible within the larger stores – A lot of progress has been made in the wines you can add to your basket whilst perusing the isles.
Co-op offers nearly 2,800 local, convenience and medium-sized stores and many will hold a few of more wines to choose from including highlighting both award winning and Fairtrade options.
A recent box of wines sent to Glass of Bubbly to review from the Co-op included what they describe as an affordable alternative to Champagne, it was their ‘Irresistible’ Cava Brut Reserve which is available at £7.00 in store.
Co-op Irresistible Cava Brut: “An approx £7 a bottle sparkling wine solution from supermarket Co-op. Green fruits, floral, beeswax in aromas. Flavours are delicate with a touch of dry crispness initially then relaxing soft green fruits, honey, hay, pastry. An enjoyable glass of bubbly, nothing too complex, a fizz that is fairly priced and hits the spot.“
