The Sparkling Wine
Codice Citra- Primae Lucis Brut Rosé – Tasting Notes
Aroma 👃 “Soft, crouched red berries, strawberries and raspberries with a touch of cream on the aroma.”
Flavour 👅 “Soft, touch dry, red berry flavours with a similar touch of creaminess on the palate. Simply but direct on the flavour.”
Bronze Medal Winner in the Summer Days Category at the Glass of Bubbly Awards 2021
Citra was founded in 1973 and has 6,000 hectares of vineyards, the name Citra comes from a Latin adverb, name of one of the two regions in which Abruzzo was divided on the maps, going back to the 18th century before the unification of Italy when the land was all part of different kingdoms, the name Citra, identifying the location in which the 9 associated cooperations are located is meaningful to them, it relays the message of the strong link terroir and the accent winemaking knowledge of the Chieti area.
We will be using this Italian Sparkling Wine for both of our Tequila Cocktails.
The Tequila
You may just think this is just another bottle of Tequila, but you’re looking at the first commercial producers of the drink.
The Commercially Creation of Tequila happened in 1795 when King Charles IV of Spain granted José Antonio de Cuervo the first concession ever to produce Tequila commercially, marking the birth of Tequila.
Jose Cuervo is the number 1 Tequila in the world, located in Mexico, they are also the largest agave holders in the country. This bottle is also available at Tesco.
Aroma 👃 “Soft, rounded, near creamy, rye and barley aromas.”
Flavour 👅 “Soft and smooth, which quickly heats up with the classic tequila flavours and a hint of vanilla and fruits.”
