The Elizabethan – In Honour Of The Queen
1st November 2022
Before the great loss of our Majesty The Queen of the United Kingdom, of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and The British Empire, Head of the Commonwealth, Defender of the Faith and by the Grace of God, our longest reigning monarch, a Sparkling Wine, crafted by an awarding winning English Sparkling Wine producer, Fox & Fox Mayfield, released a very special and limited edition bottle, called The Elizabethan in celebration of the Royal Platinum Jubilee.
“Please raise your glass in a delicious toast to celebrate this Elizabethan era. This limited edition has had 7 years on less and is a captivating blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Gris, which we have held in reserve for this historic Royal Platinum Jubilee.”
Queen Elizabeth II was born on the 21st of April, 1926 in London, England and passed from this realm on the 8th of September, 2022 in Balmoral Castle, Aberdeenshire, Scotland.
She ruled 32 sovereign states during her lifetime, holding the position for 70 years and 214 days, by the end, she ruled over 15 sovereign states.
She leaves behind her two grandsons, Prince William of Wales, Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex and their children, Prince George of Wales, Princess Charlotte, Prince Louis of Wales, Archie Mountbatten-Windsor and Lilibet Mountbatten-Windsor, amongst a host of other royals.
When her father King George VI passed away in 1952, she was on a Royal trip to Kenya, during her trip, she would climb up and spend the night in a tree house and the next morning when she came down, she was the queen of the British Empire. She wouldn’t be officially crowned until the 2nd of June 1953, but she did become queen the moment King George VI passed away.
She was born Elizabeth Alexandra Mary, she lived for 96 years, 4 months, and 18 days, had 3 sons and 1 daughter, 8 grandkids, and 12 great-grandkids.

This is a very limited edition English Sparkling Wine, with only 1,700 bottles being produced, it’s a fantastic blend of the Chardonnay and Pinot Gris grapes, which were grown in Mayfield Sussex at Fox & Fox’s own vineyards.
Jonica Fox and her husband Gerard Fox are the great minds behind Fox & Fox, planting their first vine in 2004, it was Gerard that inspired Jonica to get into the fizz business after he tasted some English Sparkling Wine at an event in London in 2003 and by 2009 they had started producing their own Sparkling Wine. They currently own 30 acres and grow the following grapes: Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier.
As well as offering enjoyable Sparkling Wine, Fox & Fox also offer bespoke wine tastings, either hosted by Jonica or Gerard, it’s a wonderful experience for any group of friends or even a birthday party, if you would like to find out more, just click here.
