Venturini Baldini – Organic Italian Sparkling Wine
30th April 2020
The Venturini Baldini company was founded in 1976, located in the Matildiche Hills in Emilia Romagna in Italy.
The Venturini Baldini family started their production of Sparkling Wine the same year, the estate has 130 hectares, but only 32 of those hectares are planted with vineyards, the hills on which the vines are grown reach an altitude of 370 meters high.
Venturini Baldini takes great pride in their sustainability, where they are located in Emilia, they were one of the first to be certified organic.
They also offer guided tours and tastings from Mondays to Saturdays with up to a maximum of 50 people, for both their Sparkling Wines and Vinegar, this winery doesn’t just make Italian Sparkling Wines, it makes vinegar as well, they have 400 small barrels made from different woods, which they say gives their vinegar an ‘unmistakable aroma’, you can find out more about the tours here.
Tours are not their only speciality though, if you have travelled far and are in need of a place to rest, then Venturini Baldini has you covered with their Roncolo 1888 resort, they serve food and of course Sparkling Wine, the Villa dates back to the early 1500s so it’s no wonder that it’s a historical heritage site, they have 9 beautiful rooms which have views over the vineyards, Italian garden and Roncolo natural park.
We have with us here to taste 3 of their award winning Sparkling Wines at The World’s Finest Glass of Bubbly Awards 2019.
