Veuve Clicquot will partner with FKA twigs for the second edition of the Champagne House’s Widow Series – an annual celebration of creative and cultural prowess. Titled ‘ROOMS’, the project will launch with a private view on Wednesday 26th October 2016, with tickets for the 27th and 28th October on sale to the public.

The Veuve Clicquot Widow Series pays homage to the revolutionary founder of the House, Madame Clicquot, who was famously widowed in October 1805 and single-handedly took on her late husband’s Champagne business.

“This annual event is a nod to the freedom of expression around Halloween to celebrate the arts and creative community worldwide, and mark the creative innovations Madame Clicquot made to the Champagne industry – particularly this year as we mark 150 years since Madame Clicquot’s death,” comments Julie Nollet, Marketing and Communications Director at Moët Hennessy UK. “She was a trailblazer in her time and went on to pioneer several industry innovations whilst demonstrating her unparalleled creative talent. Many of her defining attributes as a female figure of strength and innovation are reflected in FKA twigs’ work, making for a perfect partnership.”

Performance art, set design, theatre, costume and dance collide for ROOMS, an original new performance and installation work written, directed and curated by FKA twigs. Told by a cast of 30 and set in a 12 room installation, twigs’ story follows the journey of DIAMAS in her search for her spiritual and zodiac home. The installation has been created by a group of 12 artists, each crafting zodiac worlds that immerse the audience in every emotional trait, dance, song and horror of the human emotion.

FKA twigs says of the partnership: “There aren’t always opportunities to make your wildest creative ideas a reality. This is one of my most ambitious projects to date so I’m very excited to be bringing it to life for the Veuve Clicquot Widow Series.”
