Where to Enjoy a Glass of Bubbly in Cambridge

Vislander is the largest family-run winery on the Croatian island of Vis, specialising in indigenous varieties like the white Vugava and red Plavac Mali. Rooted in local terroir since the 17th century, their wines celebrate the island’s deep-rooted history, including a famous World War II era when islanders bartered wine for British rations.

The winemaking history of Vis dates back to 397 BC when ancient Greeks from Syracuse established the colony of Issa. They were the first to plant grapevines here, producing wines that were historically celebrated as some of the finest in the Adriatic.

Viško Bonda Premium Rosé Sparkling Wine

Tasting notes: Fresh red berries, strawberries with delicate pink blossom and a hint of herbs.

Pairs well with fresh oysters, calamari, prosciutto and Serrano ham.
