Which Champagnes Hold a Royal Warrant
20th January 2026
A Royal Warrant of Appointment in the UK is a prestigious honour granted as a mark of recognition to people or companies who have regularly supplied goods or services to the Royal Household for at least five years.
This allows them to display the Royal Arms and the phrase ‘By Appointment to…’ on their products, packaging, and stationery, symbolising the highest ideals of quality, excellence, and service. Granted by the reigning Monarch and senior members of the Royal Family, these warrants empower businesses to elevate their brand prestige through a proud royal connection.
There are currently six Champagne Houses that hold a Royal Warrant.
Champagne Bollinger
The Royal Warrant was first granted by Queen Victoria in 1884.

Bollinger was the first Champagne to be granted a Royal Warrant and has maintained this honour through every reigning monarch since, making it the longest continuous holder of a Royal Warrant for over 140 years.
Champagne Pol Roger
The Royal Warrant was first granted by Queen Victoria in 1877.

The association between Pol Roger and the British monarchy has continued through many generations.
Champagne Moët & Chandon
The Royal Warrant was first granted by Queen Victoria in 1893.

Champagne Veuve Clicquot
The Royal Warrant was first granted by King Edward VII in 1905.

Louis Roederer
Queen Elizabeth II first granted the Royal Warrant.

Champagne Laurent-Perrier
The Royal Warrant was first granted by King Charles III in 2024.

Laurent-Perrier was the first Champagne house to receive this specific Royal Warrant from King Charles III, as Sovereign, having previously been granted a warrant as Prince of Wales.
In December 2024, King Charles III conducted a review of all Royal Warrants, resulting in the revocation of some notable Champagne houses that had a long history of holding Royal Warrants, particularly Lanson, Mumm and Krug.
Champagne Lanson
First Royal Warrant was awarded by Queen Victoria in 1900.

Champagne GH Mumm & Cie
First Royal Warrant was awarded by King Edward VII around 1904.
