Congratulations to Wingara Wine Group Deakin Estate with their Azahara Moscato NV which received a silver medal at The World’s Finest Glass of Bubbly awards 2017.
A panel of 36 top industry wine judges tasted all the entries for 2017 and were able to not only scores wines with medals, but also place them in to easy to understand categories such as Dessert: “Dessert wine with Stilton or lemon tart… Yum! A wine that may take ages to develop and likely not to be a simple wine, sweet experience yet complex in taste.”
Azahara derives from the Spanish word for ‘orange blossom’. Sourced from the family owned, Victorian vineyards interspersed with citrus, mango and avocado groves – Azahara symbolises the unique location of their vines. Azahara wines are fashioned to partner bright, fresh dishes and bright, fresh company.
Azahara Moscato NV is 100% estate grown Muscat Gordo Blanco sourced from family owned vineyards in north west Victoria, Australia. These vineyards are interspersed with citrus, mango and avocado groves and Azahara Moscato symbolises the unique location of these vines. At only 6% alcohol, this wine is Light-bodied with a slight spritz and masses of sweet tropical fruit and aromatic floral notes. It dances in the glass with a light spritz and a crisp, refreshing finish. Perfect served well chilled with brunch and desserts.
