Marisco Vineyards is a family-owned and operated, award-winning Marlborough wine producer and home to the iconic wine brand The Ned.
Established in 2006, The Ned was the passion project of Marlborough winemaker Brent Marris, inspired by his childhood stomping ground in Marlborough’s Wither Hills range. Following The Ned’s meteoric rise to fame, Brent turned to his own family history for inspiration when looking to expand the portfolio.
Epitomising sparkling beauty, Diamond Heart is a tribute to Rosemary Marris, co-owner of Marisco Vineyards, wife to Brent and mother to their four daughters. Much like a diamond, often adding a touch of panache and glamour, she helps us drive the company forward, always with a sparkle and a smile.
Diamond Heart Blanc de Blancs 2019
Made from 100% Chardonnay, this sparkling wine offers delicate aromas of crushed Braeburn apples, brioche, and toasted almonds. The palate is crisp and juicy, balanced with a firm acid backbone and creamy yeast-derived notes. Fine, persistent bubbles lead to a long, fresh finish.
Perfect with fresh tuna sashimi or crispy mushroom arancini.
Tasting notes: Lightly toasty aroma with a hint of almond cream. The palate is full of peach, brioche, caramelised nuts, mirabelle plums and golden apples with a touch of hazelnut. Delicious and elegant, the finish is long and layered like an almond croissant.

Diamond Heart Waihopai Cuvée 2019
sparkling wine is a refined blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, combining the fresh aromas of baked bread and green apple with the elegant complexity of Pinot Noir. A richly textured palate, enhanced by extended lees contact, is balanced by vibrant acidity and a crisp, dry finish.
This Cuvée sparkling wine pairs beautifully with earthy mushroom toast or duck breast with spiced cherry chutney. Cellar for 6–8 years to fully appreciate its evolution
