Bewl Water Vineyard is a family-owned vineyard in Sussex. Located in the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, bordering the largest body of fresh water in South East England, Bewl Water reservoir. The vineyard’s location on the reservoir’s edge and the Wadhurst clay soil contribute to a unique growing environment.
They produce small batch, handcrafted wines. Their Bacchus grapes are amongst the oldest in the UK, having been planted in the 1970s. Their Reserve Cuvée 2018 won a Silver Medal in the Zesty & Zingy Category at the Glass of Bubbly Awards 2024.
They believe sustainability is very important and take a conscious and considered approach in their vineyard management, minimising their use of chemicals.
