Gauchezco Argentinian Sparkling Wine
11th April 2016
The roots of Gauchezco begin in the historic and legendary vineyard, founded in 1881 by the Governor of Mendoza Tiburcio Benegas in Barrancas – Maipú. At this site, the first grapes of premium quality were planted in Argentina.
There are now 3 vineyards of Gauchezo: the original Barrancas – Maipú, Uco Valley and Cafayate – Salta. Head Winemaker, Mauricio Vegetti, at just 33 years old, has already gained international distinction with Gauchezco Wines.
Gauchezco Extra Brut
Gauchezco Extra Brut is the latest creation from the winemakers. 100% Pinot Noir and grown in the Barrancas-Maipú area. This vineyard has a dry desert climate, with predominate alluvial soils full clay and lime.
Appearance: Displays light rose colour with bright undertones and fine and persistent bubbles. Aromas: Aromas of fresh fruit, complex and elegant from the richness of the Pinot Noir. Palate: A complex mouth feel structure and smooth acidity balance.
