Glyndwr Vineyard is the oldest established and largest vineyard in Wales. Planted by the current owners in 1982, the estate comprises over 6,000 vines, grown on gently south-east facing slopes in the heart of the beautiful Vale of Glamorgan.

The bottle label depicts the Welsh prince, Owain Glyndwr, riding into battle with Carreg Cennen Castle in the background. The wines are evocative of that bold and romantic period of Welsh history.

With the experience of 30 years playing an important role in the current success and reputation of the vineyard, the owners have built up an extensive network of outlets throughout Wales, for example Waitrose, the Celtic Manor Resort, Glen-yr-Afon Hotel, and numerous family run delis from St David’s in Pembrokeshire to Wally’s in Cardiff. The vineyard produces two white wines, a rosé, a red and two vintage sparkling wines. The wines have graced many a fine occasion from European State banquets to the restaurant in the House of Lords.

Glyndwr Vineyard is particularly proud of its environmentally friendly surroundings. The vines are mostly grown on the traditional double Guyot system with some experimentation with Geneva Double Curtain. Vine varieties include Rondo, Regent, Madeline Angevine, Triomphe d’alsace and Seyval Blanc.
