Champagne Telmont
17th June 2026
Champagne Telmont was founded in 1912 by Henri Lhôpital in Damery, France. Established during a time of agricultural upheaval, the house is deeply committed to both quality and environmental sustainability. Today, it combines traditional craftsmanship with a bold, eco-friendly vision to produce some of the region’s most sustainable wines.
Telmont is on a mission to convert 100% of its vineyards to organic agriculture. They utilise wind power, prohibit synthetic pesticides, and minimise their carbon footprint by avoiding heavy gift boxes. Notably, Telmont is the first Champagne house to obtain Regenerative Organic Certification for its organic vineyards.

Let’s explore their signature label, Réserve Brut. Each label serves as an open book, providing detailed information about the grape varieties used, the harvest years in the blend, the sugar level, and the date the bottle was sealed (disgorged).
Réserve Brut is a blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Meunier, offering a perfect balance of fruitiness and crisp mineral freshness. It is a genuine expression of terroir, reflecting the excellence and uniqueness of each year’s harvest.
Tasting notes: The aromas include baked apples, pears, and toasted almonds with a hint of honeysuckle. The flavours feature plums, peaches, and brioche, complemented by a touch of vanilla and almonds, finishing with citrus notes and a mineral sea breeze.
This Champagne pairs well with oysters topped with fresh lemon juice, sea bass, scallops, caviar, smoked salmon blinis and goats cheese.
