Champagne and Sparkling Wine Coursework

Globally, sparkling wine sales have vastly improved with many acclaimed success stories. Popularity of bubbly wine has grown as an international export success, notable examples being sales of Prosecco to the UK and US markets.

Along with sales, there has also been an increase in production with many wineries adding a sparkling to their portfolio to follow this trend and spread their risk.

With this popularity comes interest in the subject itself from both consumers and hospitality professionals, people like to know what they are drinking and, equally as important, what they are serving.

Wine education remains a busy sector of the industry, WSET leading this market of wine and spirit education and training courses with tutors and students spread out internationally. Alongside the Wine and Spirit Education Trust we also have educational programmes run by wine regions directly, examples include from the Champagne Bureau and Rioja.

A dedicated Champagne and Sparkling Wine Education Coursework: Founded in 2013, Glass of Bubbly is a leading, global news source for Champagne and Sparkling Wine along with an international awards (now in it’s tenth year) and annual buyers and trade show. With a positive information sharing credibility in the sector, along with a Master of Wine designing and writing the coursework, we decided to launch a dedicated education programme of courses to increase both trade professional and consumer understanding of bubbly wine globally.

Built around three levels:

  • LEVEL 1: An introduction to Champagne and Sparkling Wine.
  • LEVEL 2: An exploration into Champagne and Sparkling Wine.
  • LEVEL 3: Mastering Champagne and Sparkling Wine.
