Moët & Chandon release new Champagne MCIII
5th October 2015
Legendary Champagne House Moet & Chandon have released a new futuristic Champagne called “MCIII”. The name refers to the name of the house, and the blend that is made from 3 different wines.
This new Champagne’s base layer contains a blend of 37% of chardonnay and pinot noir. The wine is grown and aged in metal, wood and glass.
The new blend will also contain a high proportion of “Grand Vintage” wines. Nearly 40% of the blend is reserve wine matured in oak barrels, hailing from the 2002, 2000 and 1998 vintages. It’s also apparently blended with some still wines, making it an unusual hybrid.
